As part of a large-scale program for the translation and publication of relevant economic literature in Ukraine, planned by the Free Economy Institute, we present the Ukrainian edition of Walter Block's book "Private Roads: Human and Economic Factors"
The book of the American scientist - Doctor of Economics, supporter of libertarian views, devotee of free market principles - provides arguments in favor of the advantages and rationality of using private routes, as well as scientifically substantiated obvious disadvantages of ineffective state management of the transport industry.
From the standpoint of the libertarian theory, the author proves that private entrepreneurship is able to clearly establish the efficient operation of the transport system, that market relations, introduced in all spheres of life, regulate production processes much more efficiently than the state, and free competition provides the consumer with a higher quality product or service at a lower price. The logical premises and conclusions of the author are illustrated by many empirical techniques.
The book will be useful for economists, transport specialists, supporters of the philosophy of libertarians and all those who are interested in the problems of the economy in general and the privatization of roads in particular.
This book is worthy of becoming a reference book for everyone who defines themselves as supporters of the free market. Because this is not just a book about private and public roads, this is a book about what economics is, how it works and what drives it.
We would be grateful to everyone who will take an active part in distributing this wonderful book by Walter Block. Because as soon as we distribute this book, as fast we will translate and publish the next no less relevant books by our respected authors.
